Lovely Professional University is a private university located in Chaheru, Phagwara, Punjab, India. The university was established in 2005 by Lovely International Trust, under The Lovely Professional University Act, 2005 and started operation in 2006.

Lovely Professional University (LPU) is an ASSOCHAM National Education Excellence Award-winning institution ranked as the top Education Brand in India in The Economic Times. As part of their recruitment efforts, LPU turned to Quora to drive top-of-funnel awareness and increase consideration among prospective students.
Due to the pandemic, the admission cycle got extended and students were spending more time researching on the institutions of their choice. Thus, this year we decided to work with Quora to promote various initiatives that LPU has taken during the pandemic.

Their Solution

A foolproof campaign structure

LPU’s campaign structure was key to its success. The university offers a number of MBA and undergraduate courses, ranging from engineering to architecture. To cater to each course’s unique audience, LPU created multiple Quora Ad campaigns. Each campaign was dedicated to a specific field, such as engineering. This allowed them to manage course-specific budgets and compare performance between different subjects and their Promoted Answers. With this structure, LPU could effectively optimize toward the best-performing campaigns.

By focusing on these questions, the university could engage with prospective students and take the opportunity to highlight their curriculum, collaborations, and campus. They also promoted answers written by alumni as a testimony to the university’s strengths.

A new funnel for leads & applicants

By targeting the right topics, LPU generated 51M+ impressions and their campaigns concluded with CTRs above 2.5%. Quora’s high-quality traffic expanded LPU’s upper funnel base and increased consideration as more users traveled down the funnel to become leads and applicants.
