The US travel industry outlook is as sunny as ever

“Three words define travel this summer: No Matter What”, remarked McKinsey’s July 2022 US Summer Travel Report. It found that leisure travel in the US was booming; this was reflected by Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) in the US outstripping not just 2020 and 2021 levels, but 2019 levels too.

A more recent report by the US Travel Association from December, 2022 uncovered some interesting trends in the travel industry. Nearly eight in 10 current business travelers expect to attend a conference, convention or trade show in the next six months while over half of American travelers believe they will make leisure travel a high spending priority in the next three months.
