With the season of giving just around the corner, our marketing is about to swing into high gear. But, with so many businesses vying for customers’ attention, we need to be extra creative in terms of how we grab their hearts (and fill their stockings too)!
Here are a few useful ideas that will get your customers saying fa la la la la in no time at all.
Incorporate festive content.
Now is not the time for blah humbug. Give your social media and marketing messaging a red, white, and green makeover. It will get your customers into the holiday spirit while putting your company squarely on their Christmas list.
Up the convenience factor.
The simpler you make it for people to buy your products, the more likely they will be to do so. Get rid of any and all friction in the purchasing process.
Reduce their stress.
Do what you can to take away some of your customers’ holiday overwhelm. Hire additional staff to help them out, offer suggestions when they are stuck, and provide a little extra customer service at every point in the process.
Offer free shipping.
Nothing beats free shipping when holiday spending starts to take its toll.
Position your product/service as a gift I=idea.
Holiday gift givers always have a few hard-to-buy-for people on their list. Even if your product or service is not intuitively seen as a gift, position it as such so that you can increase your holiday revenue. Santa would approve.
Offer holiday discounts and coupons.
Nudge people with an extra incentive to buy from you this season by providing discounts and coupons. Those deals may be just the push they need to get them to hit the purchase button.
Reward loyal customers.
Give a gift to those who have been good to you! Offer frequent shoppers a reward for their loyalty. Think in terms of two for one deals, deep discounts and other bundling options. The holidays are a time to both give and receive.
